Dr. Anthony Carcillo Appointed Chair of Immaculata’s Major-Payton School of Business

Immaculata University has appointed Dr. Anthony Carcillo as chair of the Major-Payton School of Business. He will join Immaculata on Dec. 1, 2025. An accomplished higher education leader and certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Carcillo brings more than two decades of experience in academic leadership, program development, strategic planning and student success initiatives.
Most recently serving as Dean of the College of Technology at Wilmington University, Carcillo guided significant institutional growth, overseeing an enrollment increase of more than 40 percent, expanding certification-aligned coursework, implementing AI solutions to streamline operations and strengthening cross-university collaboration. Carcillo also contributed to university governance through roles on the Faculty Senate AI Ad-Hoc Working Group and the Academic Affairs Policy and Procedure Manual Committee.
Prior to the deanship, Carcillo helped launch multiple graduate programs, including the M.S. in Cybersecurity and the M.S. in IT/IS Project Management programs. He also developed 4+1 pathways, managed guided pathways initiatives and oversaw major program expansions, including growing the M.S. IST in Information Assurance program from 150 to over 1,000 students.
Before transitioning fully into higher education leadership, Carcillo held key project management roles in industry, leading high-performing teams responsible for complex IT, cybersecurity and infrastructure projects within organizations such as AAA Mid-Atlantic, SunGard Availability Services and Catholic Health Initiatives.
Carcillo holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Wilmington University, a master’s degree in organizational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in organizational dynamics, along with extensive professional certifications and leadership training in AI, strategy and project management.
