Immaculata University will welcome 495 new students to campus this fall as enrollment continues to grow. As of August 12, the incoming class includes 421 first-year students and 74 transfer students, representing an increase of more than 8% over last year’s incoming class. Following the success of the incoming 2025 undergraduate class—the largest first-year class at Immaculata in the previous ten years—2026 first-year enrollment will increase by 7%, while transfer enrollment will grow by over 20% year over year.

“Immaculata’s enrollment momentum reflects the confidence students and families place in the value of an Immaculata education,” said Immaculata University President Barbara Lettiere ’72. “This growth is made possible by the dedication of our faculty, staff and administrators, who create the opportunities, support and sense of belonging that help students thrive. We are excited to welcome this new class and continue building on the strong foundation that defines the Immaculata experience.”

The growth in enrollment is supported by continued engagement of prospective students and their parents throughout their college search journeys that typically start when students are high school sophomores. As more prospective students consider Immaculata University as part of their college search, first-time undergraduate applications have increased by 14.9%, rising from 3,339 applications for fall 2025 to 3,836 applications for fall 2026.

“Each incoming class represents months of building relationships with students and their families, said Patricia Canterino, vice president of student development and undergraduate admissions and dean of students. “Getting to know our students, learning about their goals and helping them find the right fit is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. We want every student to feel seen, supported and confident that Immaculata is a place where they can grow, succeed and truly belong.”

To support the continued growth of the student population, Immaculata continues to invest in facilities that enhance the student experience. Recent housing renovations across campus increased residential capacity, allowing the University to accommodate an additional 40 students.

Although numbers will not be finalized until October, Immaculata expects to have between 2,500 and 2,600 total students enrolled this fall, excluding dual-enrollment students.

“We are excited to welcome all of our new students to Immaculata this fall,” said Christine Rhine, the executive director of undergraduate admissions at Immaculata University. “These numbers reflect the incredible work happening across the University. Every student who chooses Immaculata becomes part of our community, and we are committed to providing an exceptional experience that prepares them for meaningful lives and careers.”
