Immaculata University welcomed eight new full-time faculty members for the fall semester.
A list of the new faculty members with their titles and departments is below. A brief biography of their education and most recent work experience is included.
Denise Butler Aungst
Associate faculty
Natural Sciences
Butler Aungst received a B.S. from Stony Brook University and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan University. For over ten years, she taught in the health science and biology departments at Lincoln University. Butler Aungst resides in Chester County.
Renee Merion Everett
Associate faculty
Civic Engagement
Everett graduated cum laude from Sweet Briar College with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. She then earned a Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law. During her 30+ career in law, she served as a deputy district attorney and juvenile unit chief. She’s taught at Immaculata as an adjunct since 2024. Everett resides in Chester County.
Cathy Flite
Associate professor
Health, Nutrition and Exercise Sciences
Flite earned her bachelor’s degree from Temple University and a Master of Education in Health Education from Widener University. She then received both a master’s and Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Development from Fielding Graduate University in California. Most recently, Flite was an associate professor of instruction for the College of Public Health at Temple University. She resides in Delaware County.
Kristen Foley

Psychology and Counseling
Foley received a B.S. degree in psychology from Villanova and continued her education at Rutgers University where she both her master’s and doctoral degrees in school psychology. She has worked as a board-certified behavioral analyst and an adjunct faculty member at Immaculata. Foley lives in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Jacquellyne Hengst

Psychology and Counseling
Hengst earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from St. Joseph’s University. She then enrolled in Immaculata’s M.A. in clinical psychology and continued with her Psy.D. in clinical psychology. She is a licensed clinical psychologist who is the owner and clinical director of Haverford Psychological and Counseling Services. For two years, she has served as an adjunct faculty member in the graduate psychology program at Immaculata. Hengst resides in Chester County.
Emily Lorimer

Health, Nutrition and Exercise Sciences
Lorimer received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from West Chester University and her Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama. She is a registered dietitian and most recently served as the clinical nutrition manager for Aramark Healthcare at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Lorimer resides in Montgomery County.
Shaney Pressley

Nursing
Pressley earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Gaston College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and a Master of Science in Nursing (Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner) from Drexel University. During her nursing career, she has worked at several local hospitals, including most recently at Nemours Children’s Health. Pressley resides in New Jersey.
Grace Wiatrowski

Wiatrowski received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from LaSalle University. She has worked as a registered nurse practitioner at various health centers for nearly 10 years. She had been a clinical instructor at LaSalle and Immaculata during the spring 2026 semester. Wiatrowski resides in Delaware.
