Through donor-funded campus improvement projects, Immaculata University continues to enhance the spaces that support student success and campus life. These enhancements reflect the University’s commitment to scholarship, leadership and service by creating environments where students can pursue their academic goals and engage fully in the Immaculata experience.

As a Catholic academic community committed to the formation of the whole person for leadership and service, Immaculata University provides students with opportunities to pursue knowledge, develop as leaders and engage with the world around them. Donor support helps advance this mission by sustaining and enhancing the campus spaces where students learn, live and grow.

“We are grateful to the donors who have thoughtfully given IU transformational donations, which have provided us the opportunity to make several capital improvements to the campus and expand programming for our students now and into the future,” said Susan Arnold, vice president for institutional advancement at Immaculata University.

A recent donor-funded project, the modernization of the Terrace Level of Gabriele Library, created additional quiet study areas and new digital media and podcast instructional labs, providing updated spaces to support student learning and collaboration. The entryway patio of Gabriele Library was also refurbished through donor funding, helping to improve one of the University’s vital academic resources.

Donor-supported housing renovations across campus are creating new residential spaces, including updates in Gillet Hall that will provide housing for an additional 18 students. This takes the total number of students that can be housed in Gillet Hall to 74. The conversion of second-floor offices and lounge space in Villa Maria Hall will accommodate 18 students, and the transformation of two lounges in Lourdes Hall into dorm rooms provides space for four additional students.

Additional donor-supported renovations have enhanced classrooms and other student spaces across campus and have contributed to upgrades to athletic facilities, including improvements to the tennis courts and pool equipment. These investments, along with the replacement of exterior windows on the Villa Maria Hall Dome, have helped support campus facilities while preserving Immaculata’s historic landscape.

As Immaculata continues its more than 100-year legacy of scholarship and service, philanthropic contributions from donors help support the ongoing care and enhancement of a campus that fosters the academic, personal, professional and spiritual growth of Immaculata students while preparing them for fulfilling careers.
