Immaculata University Nursing Graduates Achieve 94.34% First-Time NCLEX Pass Rate
Immaculata University nursing graduates achieved a 94.34% first-time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) during the 2025–26 academic year, continuing the University’s strong record of preparing students for professional nursing practice. Fifty-three Immaculata nursing graduates completed NCLEX testing since spring 2026 graduation.
The NCLEX-RN is a mandatory test that proves a nursing graduate has the basic knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment to provide safe and effective patient care.
From 2021 through 2025, Immaculata nursing graduates achieved an average first-time NCLEX-RN pass rate of 92.18%, exceeding the national average of 87.80% for B.S.N. graduates during the same period, according to data from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) website.
Immaculata’s comprehensive approach to NCLEX-RN preparation includes individualized support from a personal NCLEX success coach, ongoing progress monitoring, assessment testing and strategic review courses. These resources complement the University’s nursing curriculum, which emphasizes critical thinking, clinical judgment and hands-on preparation for professional practice.
Immaculata’s nursing program also brings a long history of educating nurses. Since nursing education began at the University in 1985, Immaculata has awarded nearly 4,900 B.S.N. degrees and 350 M.S.N. degrees, preparing graduates to serve patients and communities throughout the region and beyond.
“Mastering the rigor of the NCLEX demands unwavering discipline from day one and the support of expert faculty dedicated to fostering essential critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Our pass rate stands as a true testament to our students’ incredible effort and the unwavering commitment of our educators,” said Mindy Tait, Ph.D., MBA, CRNP, FNP-BC, chair of Immaculata’s Division of Nursing. “I am incredibly proud of both our students and nursing faculty and thank our colleagues across campus who provided support, as this truly is a collective effort.”
Immaculata offers an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing for traditional undergraduate students, as well as an accelerated B.S.N. option for college graduates pursuing a second bachelor’s degree, which can be completed in as few as 15 months. The University also offers a Master of Science in Nursing for students seeking advanced nursing education. Visit Immaculata’s Division of Nursing webpage for more information.
