Julia Darlak used to be afraid of making mistakes. But her nursing professors reassured her that Immaculata’s simulation labs are a good place to practice and learn.

Immaculata University’s accelerated, second-degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) is helping people switch to nursing careers.

The 44-credit M.S.N. program is designed for bachelor’s-prepared registered nurses seeking to become a certified registered nurse practitioner.

After earning an undergraduate degree in English, Meredith Katona decided to switch careers and get a degree in nursing. She was drawn to the field because of the range of specialties and career options she could pursue.

Once again, Immaculata’s Prelicensure B.S.N. students surpassed the national average for first-time pass rates for the NCLEX exam by 10 percentage points. To help students succeed, the faculty launched the NCLEX Success Project, which provides students with the materials and support they need to prepare for the exam.

Tony Pisciella wanted a career that matters to him. He returned to college for an accelerated second bachelor’s degree in nursing and looks forward to connecting with patients experiencing acute challenges.
