Application Process and Requirements

If you have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution and have completed prerequisites in your proposed area of concentration with a “B” average, you may apply for admission to a graduate program. Upon submission of the online application form, your checklist of additional requirements will be provided as outlined below based on your program of interest.

NOTE: If applying to the Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program, you must apply through the Athletic Training Centralized Application System (ATCAS). If applying to the MS in Clinical Nutrition with Dietetic Internship, you must apply through the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Services (DICAS).

1: Admission Application

You must submit the online application form.

2: Official Transcripts

  1. Official transcripts sent from each undergraduate and graduate school you have attended. Transcripts must be received electronically or in a signed and sealed envelope directly from the Registrar’s office. Please have official transcripts electronically sent from the school registrar(s) to gradadmission@immaculata.edu or mailed to:

3: Two References

Electronic reference forms, including instructions, are available within the application portal upon submission of an application. (One reference is required for MS in Higher Education.)

4: Personal Goals Statement

Applicants to the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MA) program should address the following two questions in their essay:
  1. There are many different human services professions, what motivates you toward becoming a clinical mental health counselor?
  2. What do you want to do with this degree once you graduate?

5: Resume

6: Interview

Official interview with the department chair, designated advisor, and/or graduate admission counselor (required for Athletic Training, Music Therapy, Nutrition and Counseling). Interviews are scheduled once all application materials are received.

If you are an international student, you must submit additional documentation.

Based on the admission packet, you may be required to fulfill additional specified prerequisites prior to matriculation.
