Graduate Certificates/Certifications

Graduate Certificate/Certifications Application Process and Admissions Requirements

If you have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution and have completed prerequisites in your proposed area of concentration with a “B” average, you may apply for admission to a certificate or certification program. If you are interested in initial Pennsylvania state certification, you must satisfy a six-credit undergraduate requirement both in mathematics and English.

You must submit the following materials to the College of Graduate Studies:

  1. 1: Admission Application
  2. 2: Official Transcripts
    • Official transcripts from each undergraduate and graduate school you have attended must be received electronically or by mail, directly from the Registrar’s office. Please have official transcripts electronically sent to gradadmission@immaculata.edu or mailed to:
Office of Graduate Admission – Loyola Hall 229B,
1145 King Rd, Immaculata, PA 19345.
  3. 3: Two References
    • Two reference forms completed by academic professors or employers, appraising your personal and professional qualities as well as your capability for graduate study. Electronic reference forms, including instructions, are available within the application portal upon submission of application.

Be advised that some departments have specific prerequisites for admission to their certification programs. When applying for a certification program, be sure to request information about the prerequisites required for admission to the program.
