Adult Professional Studies
Immaculata’s Bachelor of Science in business management provides you with working knowledge of global markets, foreign cultures and business organizations, and the analytical skills to make economic and operating decisions.
Why consider a degree in business management? It is one of the most versatile majors which can help advance your career or expose you to professions you may not have even considered.
With so many career options available to business management graduates who have developed a strong foundation in the liberal arts, you will be prepared to pursue management and leadership roles locally, nationally, and globally or continue your education in an MBA or other graduate programs.
About the Business, Fashion and Leadership Department
Immaculata University’s Business, Fashion and Leadership Department, where the business management major resides, develops ethical, service-oriented business leaders for the global community. This ethical foundation is particularly important in preparation for a career in business.
To accommodate busy schedules, the business management program is offered during the day, in the evening and online. Evening and online classes are offered in a seven-week format. For students enrolled in the evening accelerated or online program, you can graduate in two years by taking nine credits per semester in the fall, spring and summer.
Although you may feel you don’t have the time, consider participating in entrepreneurial and networking opportunities through Enactus and the Business Club, which publishes a semi-annual newsletter and tours companies to learn about business operations.
Where Can I work
Every industry needs business leaders! Some possible fields that graduates can pursue include: operations analyst, planning/project manager, customer service manager, meeting & convention planner, fundraiser, sales representative, administrative services manager, or entrepreneur to name a few.
In addition, a business management degree prepares you for graduate work in a number of fields or for further training as a certified financial planner (CFP), a chartered financial consultant (ChFC), or a chartered financial analyst (CFA). Many of our students pursue dual majors or minors in finance, accounting, marketing or economics to add depth to their career opportunities.
