Giving Societies
About Our Giving Societies
Immaculata’s giving societies acknowledge our most dedicated donors. They celebrate the collective impact of donors connected to Immaculata through philanthropy and engagement. Society members’ contributions provide vital resources for scholarship, academic support and student programming. The entire Immaculata community is grateful to all of those who impact our students and provide support to the University through their generous participation in these societies. In an effort to honor the intent of your gift, we have chosen a few simple ways to recognize your commitment. Membership in the Maxis and Loyola societies is maintained by making an annual gift.
The Mother Theresa Maxis Society
Named for the co-founder of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother Theresa Maxis Duchemin, the Maxis Society has been established to recognize and honor leadership annual giving at Immaculata University. Maxis Society members, the University’s most committed annual supporters, are part of a network of alumni, parents and friends who strongly believe in the mission of Immaculata and support its continued progress and growth.
The Loyola Society
The Loyola Society recognizes those who have provided loyal and consistent support to Immaculata University. Donors who have made gifts to the University for any purpose and at any level for a period of five or more consecutive years (based on the University’s fiscal year calendar of July 1–June 30) are automatically enrolled in the Loyola Society.
The Legacy Society
The Immaculata Legacy Society honors alumni, parents and friends who have established endowments, thereby helping to secure the future of the University.
The 1920 Society
The 1920 Society honors alumni and generous donors who have given cumulative gifts of $50,000 or more to the University. These benefactors are commemorated on a beautiful marble plaque located outside of the President’s Office on the first floor of Villa Maria Hall.

The Heritage Society
Heritage Society members strengthen Immaculata University’s legacy and make a lasting impact on future generations of students through their planned gifts to the University. These individuals have the vision to transform students’ lives by providing the means to support a vibrant IU learning community via provisions in their estate plans (wills and trusts) and/or beneficiary designations (annuity, IRA, qualified retirement plan or life insurance).
As a member of the Heritage Society, you will play a vital role—along with its 109 current members—in honoring our historic past while offering an ambitious future for generations of students to come!
Heritage Society members can designate their legacy to:
- The Immaculata University Endowment
- An endowed scholarship
- General use by the University
- Designated program support
- Named endowment for a specific purpose
- Other donor-selected projects
