Board of Governors Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the four yearly all-member meetings of the Alumni Board of Governors (ABOG).
- Serve and participate on two committees of the ABOG. Committees include Affinity, Exploration, Governance, Outreach and Service, and typically meet via conference call between ABOG meetings.
- Actively participate in the activities of the Board including but not limited to:
- Nominate and vote for ABOG delegates and encourage other alumni to participate in this process as well.
- Nominate fellow alumni and vote for Alumni Association Awards and encourage other alumni to participate in the awards nominations.
- Participate and/or support Alumni Board volunteer initiatives.
- Attend and support alumni activities and events such as the annual Awards reception, Carol Night and Reunion Weekend.
- Connect with and encourage fellow alumni to participate in Alumni and University events.
- Support the University financially on an annual basis at a personally meaningful level. Encourage fellow alumni to support the university financially.
- Serve as an advocate for Immaculata University to prospective students.
- Advance the University’s mission and goals. Help educate alumni and friends about the needs and strengths of Immaculata University.
