Music Awards and Scholarships

Student playing keyboardMusic scholarships are available to incoming music majors who, after a successful audition, are deemed to have exceptional musical talent and potential for musical achievement. The deadline for awarding incoming scholarships is the end of February of the preceding academic year. Auditions must be scheduled prior to that date. These awards are renewable annually provided the recipient meets expected standards of musical achievement and service responsibilities to the University.

Endowed scholarships and awards are presented to current music majors.

Borrelli, this endowed scholarship honors a junior or senior music student who has given evidence of musical talent development, particularly through performance during his/her collegiate study.  In addition, the student’s talent must be evident in his/her musical studies and activities.  The faculty has the responsibility of selecting the recipient, who is then recognized at the Fall Honors Convocation.
