Learning Support Services

Learning Support Services (LSS) provides academic assistance and resources to help students succeed. Services include tutoring, writing and math help, disability accommodations, and strategies for study skills, time management and academic confidence.

The Math Center offers free, individualized support in math and quantitative subjects for all Immaculata students. Services include:

• Help with homework and exam prep
• Support for math, statistics and business courses
• Guidance from peer and professional tutors

Appointments can be made in advance, or students may stop by during open hours.

Peer Tutoring pairs students with trained undergraduate tutors who have excelled in the subject areas they support. Services include:

• One-on-one or small group tutoring
• Subject-specific help across many disciplines
• Flexible meeting options based on student availability

Tutoring is free and arranged through an online request system.

The Writing Center offers free, personalized assistance at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming to final editing. Services include:

• Help with structure, grammar, citations (MLA, APA, Chicago) and clarity
• In-person and virtual appointments
• Support for all types of writing, including essays, research papers and résumés

Disability Services coordinates accommodations for students with documented disabilities, such as:

• Extended test time
• Note-taking assistance
• Accessible materials and formats
• Housing and dietary accommodations
• Support for physical, psychological, learning or medical conditions

To receive accommodations, students must submit documentation and meet with the coordinator of Disability Services.

Yes. All academic support services provided through Learning Support Services — including tutoring, writing help, math assistance and disability coordination — are offered at no cost to Immaculata students.

Students can schedule appointments through:

• Links available on the Learning Support Services website
• Or by contacting the LSS office directly

Walk-ins may be accommodated based on availability.
