Athletics Branding

The Immaculata University Immaculata Athletics Brand Guide serves the essential function of cataloging and maintaining consistent Immaculata Athletics branding on all communication, marketing and apparel materials.

Where applicable, all previously issued athletics logos, artwork, etc. are superseded by this brand guide, as it represents the most up-to-date and extensive set of guidelines for Immaculata Athletics. As such, this guide is subject to modifications as Immaculata Athletics’ priorities and goals evolve.

For any questions concerning the Immaculata Athletics Brand Guide, including inquiries on its application in different contexts or potential changes to the guide, please contact the University Communications and Marketing Office at macmedia@immaculata.edu. The University Communications and Marketing Office is available to provide guidance to ensure that all brand materials align with institutional standards and accurately reflect the University.

Primary Logos

The following information outlines the primary logos used for IU Athletics. There are two primary variations of the Immaculata University IU logo: stacked logo and horizontal logo. For any questions regarding these logos, please contact University Communications and Marketing.

Stacked

IU logoThe stacked orientation (pictured right) is the preferred mark to use on all athletics communications. The Immaculata University IU logo is composed of the “IU” symbol and the words “Immaculata University.”

Use of the two variations of the University’s primary athletics brand is acceptable on athletics-related materials. Athletics logos should not be altered or redrawn, and additional words or graphic elements should never be added.

The primary brand will always appear in PMS 534 C and PMS 292 C. These colors can also be used in the CMYK and RGB equivalents for print or digital use. When this treatment is not possible, black or white coloring may be used. The University IU logo may be used on photos and multicolored backgrounds. Use discretion in selection of logo variations to assure that the logo is clearly legible on any chosen background.

Stacked Orientation - Alternates

The stacked orientation alternates are labeled in order of usage preference, based on the type of background the logo is placed on.

  4. PMS 534 C Outlined in White + White

Horizontal

Use the horizontal orientation of the primary logo when the stacked version does not fit into the available space. A horizontal logo fits better in wide spaces, such as the top of a website or a sign, without taking up too much height.

Spacing and Sizing

The University IU logo should maintain the equivalent of the height of “MAC” from “IMMACULATA” around the mark on all sides, ensuring the logo is sized proportionally to the size of the collateral. The minimum width of the stacked logo should be no smaller than 0.8212”, while the minimum width of the horizontal logo should be no smaller than 1.75”. Contact University Communications and Marketing with any questions regarding logo size, color or placement.

Individual Sport Lockup

Approved sports teams can have their official team title incorporated into the primary brand to create specialized logos called an “individual sport lockup.” This logo should be used for apparel or other forms of team merchandise. All individual sport lockups must be created by the University Communications office. These marks are extensions of the primary brand, indicating each sport at the University. Please contact the University Communications and Marketing office for official individual sport lockup files. Individual sport lockups follow the same color, spacing and sizing guidelines outlined for the primary mark.
