Opportunities to Get Involved

Did you love your experience at Immaculata and want to share it with others? Now is your chance! The Admissions Alumni Ambassador program allows alumni to engage with prospective students during the recruitment process. Whether you were an undergraduate or graduate student, you can share your Immaculata story, provide encouragement, and serve as a resource for students as they go through the college selection process. You can choose an option below that fits your interests and your schedule, whether you have 20 minutes one time only, or a few hours a month. Review our various participation options below:

Student Referrals

Do you know a high school student who would make a great addition to the Immaculata family? Maybe you have a co-worker who is interested in a master’s or doctoral degree. We’d like to get to know them! Refer them to us now and we’ll ensure that they will receive Immaculata admissions materials. Help keep Immaculata strong!

Mighty Mac Note Cards

Spend a few minutes writing handwritten notes to potential new Mighty Macs! Tell them what you valued most about your time at Immaculata University.

On-campus Admissions Events

You can attend and assist with various recruitment events on our beautiful campus by talking about your Immaculata experience, mingling with students and their families, and/or helping with check-in. This is your chance to tell prospective students how Immaculata has supported your journey and your career!

College Fair Representative (Off-site, various locations)

Spread your enthusiasm for Immaculata by representing the University at college fairs in your area. You can provide prospective students and families with Immaculata materials, application information, and valuable insight on what it means to be a Mighty Mac! No prior knowledge or experience is required. Training and materials will be provided by the Admissions Office.

Accepted Student Day Event Panelist

Every spring, Immaculata University holds an undergraduate Accepted Student Day to welcome incoming students and their families to the Immaculata family. These events are great opportunities for students to learn about life on campus, make new friends, and jump-start their Immaculata University experience. You can serve on a panel and answer questions that accepted students ask you.

Mighty Mac Good Luck Calls

Help potential students with their decision about where to attend college. You will receive a list of phone numbers for newly accepted Mighty Macs, and you can share your experiences and advice with them based on your time at Immaculata University.

Alumni Association Board of Governors

Each year this dedicated group of Immaculata alumni work behind the scenes to help support the University through various volunteer initiatives and by encouraging participation in Alumni / University events.  The Alumni Board meets four times per year, and holds committee calls as needed between meetings.  Please consider nominating yourself or another alumni to become a member of this Board.

Class Representative

Help keep the connection between your classmates and the University open by sharing important University news, generating enthusiasm and encouraging participation in alumni events such as Reunion Weekend, and relaying other important information to your classmates.  The time commitment for this is minimal, but the impact can Be Mighty!

As a graduate of Immaculata University, you know that our students are graduating with the knowledge and skills necessary to step into a new career or advance in their current career.  Help us connect Immaculata students with opportunities to help them achieve their career goals.

Classroom / Program Speaker

As someone with working knowledge in your industry, you can provide valuable information to our students.  Opportunities become available throughout the year where we like to bring Alumni back to campus to share their expertise as it relates to the story of your career, company, industry, major, or other relevant topics.

Internship / Job Shadow Host

Help provide invaluable experience to our undergraduate students by sharing internship and job shadowing opportunities at your company.

Job Fair Participant

Participate in job fairs and on-campus recruiting for internships and full-time positions.

Job Postings

Share job and internship postings in your company or other organizations in which you belong.

Alumni Social Media Ambassador

Do you love using social media?  Help us spread the word about Alumni events and news by becoming an Alumni Social Media Ambassador.  You can participate as an Alumni Social Media Ambassador in a manner that best fits your availability.

Event Host

Periodically, the Office of Alumni Relations holds events throughout the country, and needs alumni to serve as regional event hosts.  These opportunities are on an as-needed, per event basis.

Inaugural Delegate

Numerous Universities hold Presidential Inaugurations throughout the country each year.  Often, our President is unable to attend these events and we seek an Alumni Delegate to represent the President at the Inauguration.  If you would be interested in participating in inaugural events, should they occur in your area of the country, please let us know!

Telethon

Telethon events occur on campus a few times throughout the year.  If you like to talk on the phone and meet new people, Telethon provides a great way for you to help support Immaculata University.  With a message focused on the Immaculata Fund, contacts made during Telethon help ensure current and future Immaculatans receive the same quality education provided since 1920.  Opportunities are available for a few hours or a few evenings.

Other

If there is another way in which you would like to volunteer at the University, please let us know!
