The Major-Payton School of Business

Immaculata University formally launched the Major-Payton School of Business during the commencement ceremony on May 18. The school, co-founded by Immaculata alumna Theresa Major Payton ’89 and her husband, Chris Payton, aims to prepare students to navigate real-world business challenges in the 21st century.

The Major-Payton School of Business will focus on areas such as changing laws, artificial intelligence, technology, global trade and cybersecurity threats. Theresa will actively shape the school’s vision, while collaborating closely with Immaculata’s president, faculty and IHM Sisters. She envisions the school as a complement to the University, reflecting the IHM Sisters’ mission for Immaculata.

Theresa and Chris aim for Major-Payton School of Business graduates to be esteemed servant-leaders, combining practical expertise with moral clarity.
