Wondering what happened to the ‘Files’ menu in your Microsoft Teams Site?

Microsoft has changed the menu structure within Teams Site with their latest round of Microsoft Office 365 updates. This is a part of changes Microsoft is rolling out as part of their Microsoft 365 Roadmap.

You will notice that the ‘Files’ menu is now replaced with ‘Shared’ in all Teams sites and channels. This is now the location containing files within Microsoft Teams to make finding content easier by having it accessible in a single location.

You can access your files by clicking ‘Shared’ as you had clicked ‘Files’ in the past. At this time, the change does not appear to affect any synced folders you may have.
