Annual Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act Notice

In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Immaculata University annually notifies students of their rights regarding the privacy of and access to their education records.

FERPA provides eligible students with certain rights concerning their education records, including the right to inspect and review their records, request the amendment of records they believe are inaccurate or misleading, and provide consent before the disclosure of personally identifiable information, except in circumstances where FERPA permits disclosure without consent. Students also have the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning an alleged failure by the University to comply with FERPA.

Students are encouraged to review Immaculata University’s FERPA and Student Rights webpage for additional information regarding these rights, including directory information, circumstances under which education records may be disclosed without consent, and procedures for exercising FERPA rights.

Questions regarding FERPA, the privacy of student education records, or the University’s FERPA practices may be directed to the Registrar’s Office.
