Students in this cohort will receive a 30% discount making the cost per credit $500 for the 2026-2027 academic year.  Review the university’s additional fees.

The required common courses listed below will be offered onsite at Midd-West School District. Two courses will be offered each fall semester, and two courses will be offered each spring.  Additionally, students will select a concentration that aligns with their professional goals.  Track specific courses are offered online, asynchronously and scheduled in coordination with your academic advisor

Required Common Courses for All Tracks

This track provides basic knowledge of administration and school leadership.    Those who select this track are often teachers who have an interest in moving into an administrative or supervisory role.    Students who select the administration track may add PDE Principal Certification with just two additional courses:  EDL 643 Special Education for School Leaders and EDL 690 Principal’s Practicum.

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will take the following courses in the administration track concentration (12 credits). 

This track focuses on learning best practices for instruction in the classroom and is designed for teachers who wish to remain in the classroom. 

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will take the following courses in the instructional track concentration (12 credits):

This track is designed for the educator who is interested in learning of best practices in education and how to better collaborate and support the instructional delivery of other teachers on their team.  Upon completion of these four courses, students may obtain a PDE Endorsement in Instructional Coaching.

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will take the following courses in the instructional coaching endorsement track (12 credits):

This track is designed for the educator who is interested in learning of best practices in math education and how to better collaborate and support other teachers on their team in math instruction.  Upon completion of these four courses, students may obtain a PDE Endorsement in Mathematics Coaching. 

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will take the following courses in the mathematics coaching endorsement track (12 credits):

This track is designed for educators interested in gaining knowledge and competencies associated with teaching and learning STEM.  Teachers will learn to increase their emphasis on STEM education and encourage students to consider advanced study and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. Upon completion of these four courses, students may obtain a PDE Endorsement STEM Education. 

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will take the following courses (12 credits):

This endorsement will help educators to acquire knowledge, skills and resources needed to support and understand the emotions of their students.  Teachers will develop a skillset to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of their students to ensure their success.  Upon completion of EDL 674, EDL 675, and EDL 676, students may obtain a PDE Endorsement in Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness.

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will be required to take the following courses in the Social, Emotional and Behavioral Wellness PK-12 Endorsement track (10 credits):

This endorsement equips educators with the skills and knowledge needed to engage with AI critically and effectively in guiding students and designing today’s evolving learning environments. You will understand and interact with AI in Education to learn the strategies needed to enhance the teaching and learning process and to ultimately help your students prepare for the workforce.

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will be required to take the following courses in the Artificial Intelligence track (12 credits):
