Collegium Charter School Cohort

Immaculata University continues its longstanding partnership with Collegium Charter School to offer the M.A. in Educational Leadership program onsite for CCS employees.

Our cohort model fosters a strong peer network, allowing you to learn alongside fellow educators at Collegium who share your passion. As you progress through the program, you'll develop lasting professional relationships and a support system that extends beyond the classroom.

Immaculata University’s 30-credit Master of Arts in Educational Leadership is committed to excellence in preparing educational leaders. All students will take 18 credits of required common courses to develop a foundation of understanding the role of a school leader from a theoretical, research, and pedagogical bases. Students customize their program of study by selecting a concentration that aligns with their professional goals.

Class Format

Experience a dynamic learning environment with our 7-week course format.  Common courses will be offered face-to-face at Collegium Charter School each week on Mondays from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m.  Track specific classes are offered online, asynchronously and scheduled in coordination with your academic advisor.

Students in this cohort will receive a 20% discount making the cost per credit $570 for the 2024-2025 academic year.  Tuition for cohort students will be billed directly to Collegium Charter School.  Review the university’s additional fees.

Students who study in this cohort will follow a customized curriculum.  The required common courses listed below will be offered onsite at Collegium Charter School on Monday evenings.  One course will be offered each fall semester and two courses will be offered each spring to align with your employee tuition benefit.  Additionally, students will select a concentration that aligns with their professional goals.  Track specific courses are offered online, asynchronously and scheduled in coordination with your academic advisor.

This track provides basic knowledge of administration and school leadership.    Those who select this track are often teachers who have an interest in moving into an administrative or supervisory role.    Students who select the administration track may add PDE Principal Certification with just two additional courses:  EDL 643 Special Education for School Leaders and EDL 690 Principal’s Practicum.

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will take the following courses in the administration track concentration (12 credits).

This track focuses on learning best practices for instruction in the classroom and is designed for teachers who wish to remain in the classroom.

This track is designed for the educator who is interested in learning of best practices in education and how to better collaborate and support the instructional delivery of other teachers on their team.  Upon completion of these four courses, students may obtain a PDE Endorsement in Instructional Coaching. 

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will take the following courses in the instructional coaching endorsement track (12 credits):

This track is designed for educators interested in gaining knowledge and competencies associated with teaching and learning STEM.  Teachers will learn to increase their emphasis on STEM education and encourage students to consider advanced study and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. Upon completion of these four courses, students may obtain a PDE Endorsement STEM Education.

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will take the following courses (12 credits):

This endorsement will help educators to acquire knowledge, skills and resources needed to support and understand the emotions of their students.  Teachers will develop a skillset to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of their students to ensure their success.  Upon completion of EDL 674, EDL 675, and EDL 676, students may obtain a PDE Endorsement in Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness.

In addition to the 18 credits of required common courses, you will be required to take the following courses in the Social, Emotional and Behavioral Wellness PK-12 Endorsement track (10 credits):
