Pre-Medicine Minor

The most important step in getting into a good medical school is going to the right University.

Immaculata University’s pre-med minor prepares you to enter medical school. The pre-med minor can be paired with the Bachelor of Science in Biology or Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Students interested in majoring in other areas should work with their advisor to discuss the fulfillment of the Pre-Med minor requirements.

Your faculty advisor will work closely to help you schedule prerequisite courses required by medical school, prepare for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), and apply to medical school.

"Medical schools want to see that you are not only a driven student, but that you engage in things with a higher purpose and can juggle multiple tasks. They want to see that you can think critically. Immaculata University provided me with all of this and more. We were constantly challenged to approach undergrad biology in a different way, do presentations and engage in different levels of communication and conduct independent research to familiarize ourselves with what the future could bring. The professors continually went above and beyond to prepare me for the rigors of medical school, how to succeed and how to grow personally and mentally in order to be the best future physician I can be."
