Two Students Awarded Alice Lawson Scholarships
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) West Chester-Chester County Affiliate awarded the 2026/27 Alice Lawson Scholarships to two Immaculata students. The scholarships are for undergraduate student or students 25 years of age or older who attend a college or university in Chester County.
Millie Medina is in the nursing program and plans to graduate in May of 2027. She hopes to be a strong patient advocate for compassionate, patient-centered care that will lead to improving patient outcomes. In addition to attending school, she works full-time at Caregivers of America and cares for her young 7-month-old daughter.
Kenia Y. Perez Guiterrez plans on graduating in the summer of 2028 with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is a first-generation college student and a single mom who completed her associate’s degree in education in 2025. She is a member of the National Honor Society for First Generation students and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
