Sophomore Receives Broadcast Pioneers Scholarship

Alex Hayden was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia at their annual Scholarship Luncheon, held on April 15 at McCall Golf Club in Upper Darby, PA. The event honored ten students from eight universities across the region, including institutions such as the University of Delaware, Penn State, Temple, Arcadia, and Neumann.

Alex is the first student from Immaculata University to receive this scholarship, which is a significant milestone. He was selected for his strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and growing talent in writing and media. At Immaculata, Alex has distinguished himself through his work in sports journalism, his leadership in editing the literary magazine, and his initiative in developing his broadcasting and media production skills.

The scholarship program is part of the Broadcast Pioneers’ ongoing mission to support and celebrate emerging multimedia professionals, made possible through the generosity of its donors and the dedication of its board and scholarship committee.
