Microsoft Multifactor Authentication for Students
Effective August 20, Microsoft Multifactor Authentication will be turned on for all student accounts. Multifactor authentication helps to prevent unauthorized access to a user’s Microsoft account and protects data stored within OneDrive.
Accounts will still be accessible by logging in with your email address, but the additional level of authentication through Microsoft Authenticator or text message will be required. Once Multifactor Authentication is enabled on an account, a user will be prompted to setup the additional security when they log in.
If assistance is needed in setting up the additional level of security, please reach out to the IT Helpdesk at 484-323-3282 or in-person between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Helpdesk located in Good Counsel Hall room T2 (opposite end of hall from the Mac Shack).
