Mac Shack Mini-Market
We’re excited to announce the opening of the new Mac Shack Mini-Market, conveniently located outside the IU bookstore on the terrace level of Good Counsel Hall.
The Mac Shack offers a wide selection of snacks, beverages, and grab-and-go food items, available 24/7 to better serve the campus community. The Mac Shack will be fully stocked and ready to welcome students and staff before the fall semester begins. We hope you enjoy this convenient new campus resource and the variety of food and beverage options it offers.
Self-Service Checkout
All purchases are self-service.
- At the kiosk, just scan the barcode for each item.
- Check the screen to confirm each item has been listed.
- Tap or swipe your credit or debit card at the card reader. (Student ID cards are not accepted for payment.)

The Mini-Market will be fully stocked the week of August 17 in time for student move in.
Security and Access
There is 24/7 security monitoring for the Mac Shack.
The side door leading to the Mac Shack will be unlocked 7 a.m.-5 p.m. during the summer and 7 a.m.-10 p.m. during the school year. When the door is locked, guests can enter the door by using their proximity card (student ID).
