First-Generation College Student Honor Society Accepting Applications

The National Society of Alpha Alpha Alpha is now accepting new membership applications.  Alpha Alpha Alpha (or Tri-Alpha) recognizes the academic achievements of first-generation college students.

To Qualify

Undergraduate students must meet the following criteria:

  • be a current degree candidate at Immaculata University
  • have earned at least 30 credit/semester hours and at least 12 of those credits must have been completed at Immaculata University
  • have an overall GPA of at least 3.2 in all coursework, and
  • come from a family where neither parent nor any legal guardians have earned a bachelor’s degree.

Graduate students must meet the following criteria:

  • be a current degree candidate at Immaculata University
  • have completed the equivalent of at least one term of study (9 or more credits) at Immaculata University
  • have an overall GPA of at least 3.5 in all coursework, and
  • come from a family where neither parent nor any legal guardians have earned a bachelor’s degree.

Applications must be submitted/postmarked by Friday, Feb. 15, 2026.

Membership in Alpha Alpha Alpha is noted on the transcript and is included in the formal, official graduation program. Inductees have the option to order a pin and honor cord that can be worn at graduation.  It is an honor!  All inquiries:  academicadvising@immaculata.edu or 484-323-3239.
