Mike Ventola:
Title: Finding Your Voice
Earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2010, Mike Ventola began his broadcasting career for multiple division one universities before moving to lead broadcaster for the Southern Illinois Miners baseball team of the Frontier League. Continuing his career in the sport he loves, Ventola served as the radio broadcaster and public relations director for the Reading Fightin Phils, the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2019, he got “called up” to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies and served in the same capacity. Ventola now works for the Service Electric Network, a television production arm of Service Electric Cable TV & Communications, which is based in the Lehigh Valley, where he is a full-time broadcaster and reporter of local high school, college, and professional sports.
Nicole McGhee (nursing student):
Title: How I learned to B+
Nicole McGhee is a nursing major here at Immaculata University. She is in the class of 2026 and has the hopes of becoming a pediatric nurse once she graduates. She is very involved on campus in various clubs such as IU For The Kids, Omicron Pi Epsilon sorority,Student Nurses Association, and New Student Orientation just to name a few. Nicole never dreamed that she would be so involved in college, and is excited to share how coming to Immaculata not only helped her get involved but also start her own club.
Denzell Wallace:
Title: The Power of Student Leadership
Denzell Wallace is the Director of Communications and Marketing at the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia, where he leads initiatives that elevate the organization’s brand and deepen stakeholder engagement. With a diverse background in both government and the non-profit sectors, Denzell brings a wealth of experience in crafting impactful messaging, from social media content and blog writing to public relations and media pitching. Before joining WTCGP, he honed his skills as a Content Coordinator at En Route Marketing.
During his time as a student leader at IU, Denzell embraced the philosophy of servant leadership—a principle that continues to guide him today. In his upcoming talk, he will share how this leadership style shaped his career path and discuss the profound sense of community he cultivated during college. Denzell will also reflect on his personal challenges, including losing both parents during his time at IU and the unwavering support he received from peers and staff that helped him persevere through adversity.
