Immaculata University is pleased to offer comprehensive and affordable health and wellness protection to our employees and their families.

In addition to Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, and a 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan, Immaculata offers a host of other employer-paid and voluntary benefits, allowing employees to choose the benefits that best meet their needs and the needs of their families.

Health & Wellness Programs such as Fitness Program Reimbursement, Tobacco Cessation Program, Healthy Lifestyles Solutions Weight Management Program and Blue365 Wellness Discounts and many other resources.

Benefit eligible employees and their qualified dependents.
Effective 1st of the month following start date.
Vision
Provider: VBA
Included with Medical insurance plan at no additional cost.
Not available as a standalone plan.
Benefit eligible employees and their qualified dependents.

Choice of plans:

  • Basic Coverage
  • Enhanced Coverage
Benefit eligible employees and their qualified dependents.
Effective 1st of the month following start date.
Prescription Drug Plan
Provider: Independence Blue Cross
Included with Medical insurance plan. Benefit eligible employees and their qualified dependents who are enrolled in a Medical plan through the university.
Health Savings Account
(HSA)

Provider: Baker Tilly
In conjunction with High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) only, is used to pay for qualified health care expenses.
University contributes annually.
Benefit eligible employees and their qualified dependents who are enrolled in an HSA-qualified health plan.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Provider: Baker Tilly
Choice of accounts:

  • Health Care Flexible Spending Account
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
Benefit eligible employees are eligible for both FSAs.
Employees enrolled in the HDHP and who have an HSA are not eligible to enroll in the Health Care FSA, but are eligible to enroll in the Dependent Care FSA.
Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
Provider: UNUM
Coverage of 1x annual salary up to $50K Automatic enrollment for benefit eligible employees, fully paid by university
Short Term and Long Term Disability (STD and LTD)
Provider: UNUM
STD: 60% of income for 13 weeks
LTD: 60% of income while disabled
Automatic enrollment for benefit eligible employees, fully paid by the university.
Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance
Provider: UNUM
Purchase in increments of $10K for self, spouse and/or dependents Benefit eligible employees.
403(b) Retirement Savings Plan
Provider: TIAA-CREF
Mandatory enrollment with 2% employee contribution at employee’s one-year employment anniversary.
Employer match at one year of employment.
Qualified retirement plans can be rolled in at any time, and employees may enroll/contribute prior to mandatory enrollment.

Health Advocate Available to employee, spouse, dependent children, parents, and parents-in-law at no cost.
Assists with services ranging from healthcare and insurance-related issues to providing one-on-one support for improving health and well-being.
Will Prep Access to professionals who will guide you through the process of creating a will, along with additional information on estate planning, advance directive/living will, power of attorney, and final arrangements planning.
Travel Assistance Provides assistance while traveling to help you locate emergency medical treatment, providers, and associated services; passport replacement; legal and interpreter referrals.
