Drop & Go Option

Students must first be financially cleared and have completed their medical history/pre-entrance health form (located on their new student portal page.)

Incoming students who will be living in the following residence halls are eligible for drop & go early move-in:

• DeChantal Hall
• Marian Hall
• Villa Maria Hall
• Lourdes Hall

Students must meet the financial obligation of their first bill by Monday, July 28 to be eligible for drop & go early move-in.

Drop & go early move-in will take place August 6, 7 and 11. Drop & go sessions will be offered between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on those dates. Students will sign up for a two-hour slot during each early move-in session offered on those days.

Check your Immaculata email for more information. Students may fill out the drop & go interest form following the link from their email.

Students and their guests assisting with move-in will park on campus closest to their residence hall (please see below for more information regarding parking). Upon arrival, students will check in at the Campus Life Suite (located in DeChantal Hall behind the security desk) with a professional staff member and will be guided to their room.

Students and their guests will have two hours to move their belongings into their room and set it up as “move-in ready.” After two hours are complete, a professional staff member will ensure that your room is locked before you depart from campus.

Students and their guests are allowed to stay for the duration of their drop & go time slot (two hours). At the end of the two hours, students and guests will check out with a professional staff member and ensure that their room is locked.

Parking is available for each residence hall in the following locations (please see the campus map for more information):

• DeChantal Hall: Parking Lot D
• Marian Hall: Parking Lot D
• Lourdes Hall: Lourdes Circle
• Villa Maria Hall: Villa Maria Circle

Students are welcome to bring as many guests as they wish to drop & go early move-in.

Students and guests will be responsible for moving themselves into the residence hall on these days. Large move-in carts will be available for use throughout these days.

No. Drop & go is a free offering for eligible students, and we will not charge any additional fee for students who take advantage of these days.

No. Drop & go is an offering to allow students and guests the space to move belongings and set up a student’s room early; all students who partake in drop & go will return to campus on Thursday, Aug. 21 and begin living in their residence hall at that time.

We encourage students to look at our suggested packing list as well as prohibited items as they prepare for their drop & go move-in slot.

No. Once you return to campus on Thursday, Aug. 21, you are welcome to plug in electrical items and fridges. (We suggest that perishable items are brought back to campus on August 21, as fridges are not to remain plugged in at the time of drop & go move-in.)

Yes. A professional staff member will lock the student’s room at the time of drop & go departure. Students’ rooms will remain locked until they move in on Thursday, Aug. 21. 

We encourage students to connect with their roommates ahead of time to discuss any planning or preparations for their move in processes. Timeslots for drop & go are based on both availability and personal preferences. Professional staff will work with both students to ensure that their move-ins are comfortable and that each student’s belongings are safe.

No. Students participating in drop & go will be let into their room by a professional staff member, and professional staff members will lock their rooms at the time of their departure. Students will receive their room keys through their move-in check-in on Thursday, Aug. 21.

Yes. We highly encourage students to move as many things as possible into the room at the time of drop & go. Students who participate in drop & go will have some time to move last-minute items into their rooms but will not be assigned to a formal move-in slot on Thursday, Aug. 21.

Immaculata University will be open for normal business operations during the days of drop & go move-in (9 a.m.-4 p.m.). There will not be any additional large-scale programming or events taking place on campus during those days.
