“Immaculata University’s chemistry and education departments paid dividends towards my current career as a high school chemistry teacher. The chemistry program offers a myriad of chemistry courses and laboratory experiences. As a chemistry major with a concentration in secondary education, I was given opportunities to explain topics and lab procedures to class peers. My education professors encouraged me to apply the learning of different teaching styles and classroom principles taught in their courses, such as Universal Design for Learning, to my chemistry courses. Above all, the caring and supportive professors and IHM Sisters within the chemistry program and beyond within Immaculata are second to none. I am forever grateful for the professionally developmental experiences within the chemistry and education departments.”
