BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Michael S. Stevens is the founder and principal of Supply Chain Victories, LLC, following a distinguished 30-year career across corporate, private equity, small business, government, and higher education sectors. He is currently building the unique Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management at Immaculata University, where he serves as Assistant Professor and Program Director. Dr. Stevens is an executive faculty coach, program leader, and subject matter expert for MIT xPRO’s Digital Supply Chain Transformation and Global Manufacturing Leadership Program and holds similar academic leadership and advisory roles with Wharton’s Global Supply Chain Program, INSEAD’s Supply Chain Strategy Program, NYU’s Enterprise Cybersecurity and Technology Leadership Programs, and is a Penn State University Adjunct Professor. He combines hands-on industry experience with academic rigor to develop the next generation of supply chain leaders.
Dr. Stevens began his career as an Engineer with General Electric Company’s Cooperative Education Program and advanced through GE’s Manufacturing Management Program, Sourcing Leadership Development Program, and Corporate Audit Staff. He held global leadership positions in 10 GE businesses, spanning 15+ countries and 20+ U.S. states, ultimately becoming Vice President of Supply Chain for GE Equipment Services and later leading a $400M strategic sourcing department. He then transitioned into entrepreneurship as Managing Director of R&R Global Partners, ran a $25M privately held fulfillment company as COO, and served as a Principal Consultant at HighPoint Solutions in the supply chain pharmaceuticals industry.
At CertainTeed SAINT-GOBAIN, he served as Director of Purchasing for the Insulation business before being promoted to Senior Director of Purchasing for Gypsum (U.S. and Canada), overseeing 14 facilities and serving on both Management Committees. Dr. Stevens has led multi-million-dollar initiatives in engineering, procurement, operations, demand planning, supply optimization, risk management, and complex technology implementation. He engages with the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office (DOE LPO) as a federal contractor through Graphite GTC’s enterprise-grade no-code software firm.
Dr. Stevens has built and led high-performing teams, managed 10+ direct reports, and delivered over $50M in strategic sourcing savings through cross-functional collaboration. His industry experience spans construction, transportation, consumer products, industrial and power systems, aerospace, life sciences, government, and financial services.
He earned his PhD in Business Administration with a cognate in Supply Chain and Logistics from Liberty University, graduating with High Distinction, and was inducted as an honorary member of Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with dual majors in Strategic Management and Marketing—where he was an Omnicom Communications Fellow, participated in the China Global Immersion Program, and studied abroad at INSEAD in France. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with High Honors. Dr. Stevens is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a certified Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Scrum Master.
He serves as Vice President of Student Affairs for the Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM, formerly APICS) Southeast Pennsylvania, is a member of Beacon Networking for Life (formerly GPSEG), and is a passionate advocate for U.S. manufacturing revitalization and digital supply chain transformation. Outside of work, Dr. Stevens is a certified indoor cycling instructor, competitive cyclist and triathlete, community coordinator for the Healthy Kids Running Series, and a youth development triathlon coach for Superkids Multisport.
