BIOGRAPHY:

Dr. Parris has a strong background of leadership in graduate education, serving as Associate Dean in the College of Graduate Studies, Chair of the Research Ethics Review Board, leading off-site graduate programs and initiatives, teaching coursework at the doctoral level and serving on dissertations.

As Dean, Dr. Parris will lead the development and implementation of new academic programs in the College of Graduate Studies and continue to expand enrollment. Dr. Parris will work collaboratively with department chairs and graduate program directors to ensure that the college is meeting the needs of our current and future students in ways that are market-responsive and mission-aligned while fostering our commitment to academic rigor and scholarship.
