In 2000, she relocated to the United States of America where she worked for an international children’s wear company as a product developer and sourcing expert. After a few years, she had the opportunity to live in Spain, where she attended various design technical classes at The European Institute of Design in Madrid.

After returning to the U.S., she earned a master’s degree in fashion apparel studies at Philadelphia University. As one of the top students, she was recognized with the Graduate Dean’s Award for Exceptional Academic Achievement and the Outstanding Graduate Award. Because of her thesis on technology in fashion, Philadelphia University invited her to become an adjunct professor of technology in fashion.

There, she contributed greatly to the development of the technology in fashion subject matter included in the university’s new master’s degree, Global Fashion Enterprise.
