BIOGRAPHY:
Mrs. Leah Bustraan has been at Immaculata University for eight years, starting in the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR). Prior to joining the University, Mrs. Bustraan was a long-term account administrator for a local management group where she effectively managed and reconciled financial transactions earning her senior status in that role. While in OSR, she facilitated student and faculty research projects as well as federal and state grants. An Immaculata University Research Symposium was also implemented in OSR where Mrs Bustraan created a cohesive coordination process for this momentous, now, annual event. One of the federal grants worked on was from the U.S. Department of Education which led her to the role of Certification Officer in the Education Division. During the past five years, she helped students with their certification questions, developed the protocol for Pennsylvania instructional and administrative certifications. She has now taken on the role of Student Teaching and Field Experience Director, 2022. Her goal is to make sure the students have a robust experience in their school placements leading to a successful career in the field of education.
