While in OSR, she facilitated student and faculty research projects as well as federal and state grants. An Immaculata University Research Symposium was also implemented in OSR where Mrs Bustraan created a cohesive coordination process for this momentous, now, annual event. One of the federal grants worked on was from the U.S. Department of Education which led her to the role of Certification Officer in the Education Division. During the past five years, she helped students with their certification questions, developed the protocol for Pennsylvania instructional and administrative certifications.
