Biography
Daniel Benonis, M.A., MT-BC, LPC, is currently a music therapy faculty member and director of clinical training for music therapy at Immaculata University. Additionally, he manages the on-campus Immaculata Music Therapy and Wellness Center that offers on-site training for students as well as music therapy services to individuals with a variety of needs from the community.
He came to Immaculata University in 2018 after working clinically with individuals with a variety needs. He is currently engaging in research with individuals with substance use disorder to meet the requirements for completion for his Ph.D. in music therapy from Temple University.
Clinically, he still works as a music therapist and counselor with individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, in addition to supervising a team of creative arts therapists who work in partial hospitalization programs. As a graduate of Immaculata’s undergraduate and graduate programs in music therapy and counseling, Mr. Benonis is proud to serve his alma mater in contribution to the clinic and academic development of the next generation of music therapists.
