Apply to Be a Peer Tutor

Are you a full time student who is passionate about helping other students succeed in their academics? Do you help your friends and classmates with content and exam prep? If you answered yes, please consider applying to be a part of the Peer Tutoring team through the Office of Learning Support Services.

Peer Tutors hold set tutoring hours each week to help assist students with questions, concerns, and clarification in specific subject areas.

Qualifications:

• Full time student status (enrolled in 12 credit hours or more)
• Possess a B+ or higher in the course(s) you would like to tutor
• Possess Work Study eligibility
• Display enthusiasm for the subject

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist students in gaining a clearer understanding of subject content through peer-to-peer guidance.
• Attend scheduled stationary tutoring hours.
• Read, understand, and adhere to all training protocols.
• Gain new knowledge and stay updated on current events in the field of tutoring.
