Welcome to the Music Department at Immaculata University!
The Music Department embraces Immaculata University's mission statement and commitment to creating a collegiate environment conducive to lifelong learning and professional development. The University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM); all our music therapy degree programs are approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA); and our music education degree program is in compliance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).
In 2012, we achieved All-Steinway School status with the purchase of several Steinway concert grand pianos, as well as numerous Steinway made practice pianos.
The music faculty are committed to providing students with the opportunity to achieve their highest level of artistic performance, while establishing a strong foundational knowledge in the fundamentals of music. Our graduates leave Immaculata University prepared to begin careers in music education and music therapy, as well as other various specialties within the field of music. Upon graduation, if they choose, undergraduates are prepared for graduate study in the field of music or any other field they may desire to pursue.
