- MATH 108 Problem Solving (3)—Explores the variety of techniques that mathematicians use to solve problems, and teaches the use and development of these techniques to solve open-ended problems that require incorporating knowledge from other fields. This course is offered during the day.
- MATH 203 Intermediate Mathematics I (3) –Focus on the study and analysis of data and functions through interpretation of real-world examples. The use of spreadsheet technology is integrated throughout the course. This course is offered during the day.
- INFO 215 Social Computing (3)—Examines the use of social software while exploring the benefits and issues associated with the latest digital technology. Develops proficiency in terms of effective use of data and information. This course is offered during the day.
- INFO 230 Web Design (3)- Focuses on developing skills for designing, implementing and testing web-based applications. Includes the use of current tools, databases and digital media. This course is offered in the evening.
These are interdisciplinary courses, housed in the Math/IT department and required by Communication majors. We are looking for someone who can develop the courses further to offer students the most current technology.

Qualifications:
An ASM should have at least three years of retail management experience or a graduate of the Barnes & Noble College Bookseller Program. You are expected to work a majority of your time on the selling floor, which requires physical activity. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary.
As an ASM you are instrumental in helping to drive sales throughout the total store. You clearly assign work and provide focused direction to booksellers, managing and accomplishing multiple projects simultaneously to ensure the proper execution of the workload. This is accomplished, in part, by your regular presence on the sales floor. An ASM is able to learn under changing conditions, find solutions to issues in any situation and effectively cope with change, while handling the unexpected. You are able to anticipate the impact of your actions, ensuring integrity in your interactions with others.
