Higher Education (Ed.D.)

Higher Education at Immaculata University

Immaculata’s higher education doctoral program inspires and equips insightful, ethical administrators and faculty leaders. If you aspire to be a leader who serves directly in an administrative role, or an educator with direct academic responsibilities, this program will provide the perfect balance of theoretical structure and application-to-practice.

Due to the Doctorate in Higher Education program, I have a better business sense of running an institution. I approach problems and issues with a deeper sense of the implications and consequences of my decisions on the entire campus. When asked for advice, my problem-solving skills are refined because I have a better understanding of the various schools and departments and how they connect to the overall campus operation. I am in sync with public policy issues on the horizon and understand how they affect higher education. I have a better understanding of legal issues which need to be considered as advice is given, particularly in areas outside of employment matters. My writing skills have improved, whether creating a complex investigatory executive summary or writing a letter. Every course brings a new enthusiasm for reading, thinking, and writing. The program is satisfying and rich in learning." Kathryn E. Flannery, PHR, Assistant Vice President for Human Resources at Philadelphia University
