FATE: that force which prevents the impulse to happiness from attaining its goal, which jealously ensures that peace and happiness shall not be complete and unclouded.” These are Tchaikovsky’s own words describing his magnificent Fourth Symphony. For those unfamiliar with this masterwork, come prepared to hear the joys and sorrows of a struggling genius and the wonderful emotions he turns into beautiful music.

Equally as joyous is the Reineke Flute Concerto, performed by Immaculata University flute professor, Dr. Paula Nelson. The concert opens with the rousing overture to Kabelevsky’s opera “Colas Breugnon.”

Tickets are available at the door and online at Eventbrite.
