Immaculata News

Immaculata University students will meet with Harrisburg lawmakers on April 17th, to lobby legislative support as part of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP) Student Aid Advocacy Day.

The students, along with Laura Chisholm, director of Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations at Immaculata, will predominantly focus on lobbying against the proposed 25 percent cut in the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) grant awards. PHEAA grants afford low income Pennsylvania students the opportunity to pursue higher education. Additionally, the students will lobby for an increase in funding for the Ready to Succeed Scholarship program, which benefits middle income students.

Immaculata University is a comprehensive, Catholic, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.
