What do Mission and Ministry Mean?

Dear Immaculata Community,

“Being a missionary disciple involves both dialogue and prophecy, which can be distinguished but not separated. The spirituality and practice of mission go hand in hand. We need to develop a spiritual attentiveness and a discerning spirit for acknowledging and affirming God’s reign and the seeds of the word of God; and for naming and uprooting those weeds that are contrary to the reign of God. The response to mission should affect our minds, hearts, and actions. May we as the Church respond humbly and prophetically to the challenges and opportunities of mission today.”
