Business Office and Student Accounts

Student Accounts:

At this time, admittance to the Business Office will be by pre-arranged appointments only. We recommend making check and credit card payments online through SSIU, accessible in MyIU. Payments reflect real-time activity and help to prevent holds and late payment fees.

Students may view account information and make payments via SSIU located on MyIU. Alternately, checks may be mailed in or placed in the drop box located near the Business Office doors. For questions, email

Staff may send check requests via interoffice mail or use the drop box located near the Business Office doors. For questions, please contact the appropriate person via phone or email.

A/P checks that previously would have been picked up will be delivered by interoffice mail to the requestor.

Payroll checks will be mailed to the address on record.

Campus Bookstore

Every patron visiting the Campus Bookstore at Immaculata bookstore is required to wear a face mask/covering. Follow directional signage and stand on decals signifying 6 feet of distance from the person in front and behind while in line.

Campus Ministry and Chapel Area


Modifications have been made in Campus Ministry according to the CDC guidelines. The following procedures are in place:

  • Wear mask in CM space
  • Maintain 6 feet apart at all times
  • Wash hands frequently
  • Appointments preferred
  • Students will be tracked by use of QR codes

All meetings will be held online until gatherings are permitted


The university has removed missalettes, holy water and prayer intention books from both chapels. (Marian and Villa Maria)

The following directives are in place:

  • Use hand sanitizer when entering the chapel.
  • Enter by the center doors.
  • Honor signage regarding seating in the pews.
  • Wear face mask while in chapel. Keep mask on until receiving Communion, after receiving put mask back on.
  • Members of same household may sit together.
  • Communion line will start from rear of chapel, maintain 6 feet distancing.
  • At the conclusion of Mass, please exit by side doors and proceed directly to your next event.
  • High touch areas of the chapel will be sanitized regularly.


Campus Safety

Immaculata University policies and protocols for responding to the COVID-19 pandemic will be rooted in safety for staff, faculty, students, invited guests (e.g., contractors), and the public with whom we interact. The health and well-being of our community are critical.


The university has established proportionate occupancy for each classroom and general areas on campus. Students, faculty and staff are required to adhere to the maximum number of occupants per space. Maintaining safe distance and the use of facemasks/coverings is required in all general areas of the campus.

Hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes will be available in each classroom. Trash cans will be available nearby. Students and instructors will wipe desks, keyboards, and computer mouse devices before using them. Used wipes will be immediately thrown in the trash can. The following new practices will be in place:

  • Students and faculty will use hand sanitizer as appropriate
  • Eating in classrooms/labs will not be permitted; water will be permitted
  • Trash cans will be cleared daily
  • Door handles, knobs will be wiped down frequently
  • Desks and chairs will be disinfected daily by housekeeping



Elevator usage should ensure physical distancing is achieved. Using stairs whenever possible is encouraged. If you are using the elevator, wear your face mask/covering and wash your hands or use hand sanitizer with 60% alcohol upon departing the elevator. Custodial crews will be wiping down elevator buttons more frequently during the day.

Events and Gatherings

All campus events are to be held in accordance with all university, state and health department guidance for gatherings, potential social distancing, capacities, and use of face coverings. Hours of occupancy for facilities and spaces may be modified or staggered to limit group sizes and ensure proper distancing.

  • Each event is to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • Large gatherings are discouraged (and may not be allowed) at least through the end of the fall semester.
  • Online and virtual events are encouraged.


IHM Student Center, Fitness Center and Pool

IHM Student Center, Alumnae Hall Fitness Center and Pool will reopen under new health and safety guidance and operations will be contingent upon ability to meet state requirements for monitoring, distancing and sanitation.

Outdoor Courts

Outdoor court spaces will also continue to be reviewed for usability. Additional procedures and establishing abbreviated monitored open hours to ensure compliance with physical distancing guidelines.

General Directives

  • Access to the Library facility is restricted to current IU students, staff, and faculty members. You may be asked to show your valid, Immaculata University ID card.
  • In accordance with university policy, no guests or alumni are permitted to access the building.
  • A significant amount of seating has been removed to ensure a minimum of six-feet, social distancing between seats.
  • Masks are required throughout Gabriele Library.
  • Research and reference assistance from librarians will be available online.
  • Interlibrary loan requests are contingent on other libraries being operational

Immaculate Café
Entrance to the Immaculatte Café will now be from inside the library and exit through the door in the library lobby. This will allow us to have customers socially distance and smooth the flow through the café.

The seating configuration in the library has been changed, there are 2 chairs at each table. The chairs have been moved to opposite ends of the table to keep students at a six-foot distance.

The majority of public computers have been removed from the building, and we are asking student to use their own computers when they are in the library. Wherever possible additional access to power will be available. The Library will no longer loan the laptops.

Two printers/copiers/scanners will be available on the first floor. Individuals will be encouraged everyone to load the application on their computer to allow printing from their device your documents.

Study rooms/TV Studio
Closed during the Fall term.

Library Materials
The library will not be able provide headphones and marker sets for use in the library. While the library will still have reserve materials, we will be changing what we accept. All library reference services and Interlibrary Loan services will be conducted virtually. A link and instructions are provided on the library webpage, with explain how to schedule a reference session and contact the Interlibrary Loan staff.

Restrooms usage should ensure physical distancing is achieved. It may be necessary for the University to close certain stalls or urinals in order to create adequate distance. In all cases, when using a public restroom, faculty and staff should wear a mask or appropriate face covering and Individuals should wash their hands thoroughly after use.

Residence Life and Housing

We are committed to the health and safety of our students living on-campus and are working to ensure a safe environment for all this fall.

Health and Safety Checks

Professional and student staff will establish and communicate procedures for maintaining contact with residents through physical distanced, virtual or electronic means. The schedule of room inspections will be modified, with more open and regular conversation occurring regarding shared responsibility of residents for adhering to approved guidelines.

Common Spaces

Following shared responsibility expectations, common spaces will be altered, and residents will be expected to follow approved guidelines for cleaning, wearing of masks, refraining from large events, etc.

Facilities and Cleaning

Facilities and cleaning planning will be altered to lower risk of exposure and promote the health and safety of all residents.


The university had posted signage across the campus. This signage addresses university protocols, health guidelines, and directional signage for safe distancing and moving throughout spaces. Be mindful of following all directional signage.

Student Organizations and Activities

Immaculata University intends to foster a vibrant social climate through redesigned and engaging events and programs and to promote learning and wellness through active student organizations.

Student organizations will reimagine events and meetings using physical distancing and virtual options for larger groups or students who are unable to participate in person.

Student leaders will be trained before the fall regarding how to observe physical distancing guidelines, encourage face masks to be worn and hold meetings virtually when appropriate. Clear and standard practices will be established for student organizations of different sizes so that students know, in advance, how to manage their meetings.

Visitors to Campus

Visitors and guests are not allowed in campus buildings during this time. Invited guests (e.g., contractors) are allowed only with explicit permission and are expected to abide by all campus wide and building-specific protocols.

Public Transportation

If you take public transportation to campus, please wear a face covering before entering. Avoid touching surfaces with your hands as much as possible. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before entering and after exiting and before removing your face covering.
