Do I qualify for this program?
If you are rising high school junior or senior, or if you graduate high school in 2021 and have achieved a grade point average of 3.0, you may enroll in this program.
What is the cost?
The cost per credit is $100. Some courses may have associated fees; please email email@example.com for more information. Graduates from the Class of 2021 will pay the full undergraduate tuition rate if they choose to take courses after summer 2021.
How do I sign up for the program?
Complete the program registration form and submit it with your payment to the College of Adult Professional Studies. Rising juniors and seniors must submit their high school transcript, or a letter from their guidance counselor indicating a 3.0 grade point average. Directions are included within the form.
I have never taken an online course before. What can I expect?
Hundreds of students enroll in IU’s online courses each year. Immaculata University offers a free online success seminar that will help you navigate the online learning environment. Rather than listen to the professor and join a discussion in a classroom, you will interact with everyone through your computer. You may be asked to comment on other students’ responses. With the exception of quizzes, exams, and assignment deadlines, you may complete the coursework on your own schedule.
How do I access my online course?
You may access your course through Immaculata’s learning management system, Moodle. As a visiting student, you will receive login information and directions by email and mail. It is important that you log in prior to your course starting; this will give you time to explore and ask any questions you may have.
Will the courses I take transfer towards my college degree?
Immaculata University is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Traditionally, institutions accept transfer credits from a regionally accredited institution, so long as students earn a “C” or better. Please note that it is the receiving institution that determines if they will accept the credits.
How do I drop/withdraw from a course?
Requests to drop or withdraw from a course must be sent in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Failure to log into a course does not constitute an official withdrawal. Students must request drops by 11:59pm prior to the start date of the term to receive a full refund. All drop/withdraw requests received on or after the start date for summer classes will be processed as withdrawals; students will be responsible for all tuition charges in accordance with the tuition refund policy.
