Data Analytics Foundation Minor

A data analytics foundation minor will equip you with the programming and database skills that are foundational for data science and analytics. This minor, while similar to the business analytics minor, focuses on the technical skills you need to build computer applications that analyze information. These technical skills will complement your major and set you apart in the job market as a professional who can use the power of data to help your organization make better decisions.

In this 18-credit minor, you will learn to apply critical thinking, mathematics, algorithms, and models to analyze and interpret information. You will practice accurate, effective oral and written communication, informed by careful reasoning and critical thinking. You will be prepared to evaluate advances in computing and data science to design, implement, test and apply creative analytical solutions.
