Explore a K-12 Education Certification in Business, Computers and Information Technology at Immaculata University

Educators can help students connect technology with business initiatives. A solid foundation in business administration, economics, accounting, information technology, and educational theory and practice is at the crux of any business teacher.

The Bachelor of Arts in business administration with business, computers and information technology with K-12 certification also provides a solid foundation in the liberal arts so our graduates are prepared for teaching positions in secondary schools.

Opportunities

Students in this major have the ability to work closely with faculty from both the education and business departments. The education program includes a substantial experiential component: classroom observation during sophomore and junior year, and student teaching during senior year.

On the business side, students can participate in networking opportunities through the Business Club, which tours local companies to learn about business operations.

Students who graduate with certification and a minimum GPA of 3.5 may pursue a master’s degree in IU’s Educational Leadership program during a fifth year of study.

Where Can I Work

Graduates of the business administration with business, computers and information technology (with K-12 certification) will be well prepared for teaching roles within public and private educational institutions as well as colleges, and as corporate trainers and tutors.

Accreditation

This program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the business programs meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP. Immaculata University is committed to providing the highest quality business education for our students, as evidenced by this accreditation.
