Commonwealth Good Citizen Scholarship

Applications are open for the Commonwealth Good Citizen Scholarship. All full-time undergraduate students attending an AICUP member school who have an extraordinary commitment to community service and who have demonstrated creativity in shaping their volunteer activities are eligible.

You cannot reapply if you have previously been a recipient of the scholarship. Ten winners will be selected from all submitted applications received state-wide.

$2,300 Commonwealth Good Citizen Scholarship
For academic year 2026-2027

Who is eligible: All full-time undergraduate students attending an AICUP member school who have an extraordinary commitment to community service and who have demonstrated creativity in shaping their volunteer activities. You cannot reapply if you have previously been a recipient of the scholarship. Ten winners will be selected from all submitted applications received state-wide.

How to apply: Applications are available at your Financial Aid Office. Completed applications must be returned to the Financial Aid Office for submission to AICUP. All application materials must be sent to AICUP by the Financial Aid Office. Applications sent directly from students will be rejected.

Deadline to apply: On campus deadline Thursday, April 30, 2026. Application materials must be received by AICUP no later than Monday, June 8, 2026 to be considered.

Who is funding the scholarship: The Commonwealth Good Citizen Scholarship is made possible by an endowment and by fundraising efforts of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP).
