Graduate Students

The Writing Center will assist graduate students with the writing process. Please stop by the 1st Floor of Gabriele Library, or call (484) 323-3494 during the hours of operation to make an appointment for a writing session with one of our Writing Assistants.

Dissertation Boot Camp

Need dedicated time and space away from home to work on your dissertation? Good news: the Writing Center hosts dissertation boot camps to help. A Professional Writing Assistant is present during the boot camp to keep you on track. In order to participate in the boot camp, you must commit tp each session. During your time, you may choose to attend small skills workshops, or you can take advantage of the quiet, structured time with other doctoral students during those sessions.

The cost is $40 to participate; however, if you attend all the sessions, on time, and in their entirety, you receive $30 back. The $10 will help defray costs for printing and coffee and snack breaks.

Dissertation Writing Sessions

Graduate students working on dissertations who wish to work with a professional writing assistant should stop by the center or call (484) 323-3494  to make an appointment.

Dissertation writing sessions are a personal, individualized process between the professional writing assistant and the dissertation student.

If you are interested in dissertation services, please see the IU Writing Center Dissertation Referral Form.
