Department of Education Dissertations and Writing Center Services
Students seeking writing help with dissertations and/or dissertation Chairs who request that a student receive writing help from our center should download and save the “Graduate Dissertation Writing Session Referral Form.” Click on the link below. Instructions are on the form. Basically, the student and the dissertation Chair need to fill out the form. If it is difficult to fill out and sign this form in person, this form may be filled out electronically and sent in an email attachment from the student’s or the dissertation Chair’s Immaculata University email address only. Forms may be sent to the Director of the Writing Center, Denine Ellis at dellis@immaculata.edu
Once this form is completed and it is delivered to our center, the student should call or visit our Writing Center to set up an appointment with one of our Professional Writing Assistants. Dissertation Chairs will receive a report from the Professional Writing Assistant each time the student has a dissertation writing session. If a student or a dissertation Chair decides that several writing sessions are necessary, communication between the dissertation Chair and the Professional Writing Assistant will be required to continue the Dissertation Writing Sessions.
Dissertation Writing Sessions are only held in-person in our Writing Center. We do not work with dissertations online.
