Workshop: Great Minds Speak through Music

The College of Graduate Studies at Immaculata University will offer a two-day workshop entitled Circles of Healing: Great Minds Speak Through Music. The workshop begins with a concert by Dr. William Carr on Friday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. and is followed by a lecture on Saturday, April 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Villa Maria´s Memorial Hall.
This Circles of Healing workshop, instructed by Dr. William Carr, MA, DMA, explores the creative process of music and its applications to business management, psychology, therapeutic modalities, problem solving and decision making. Composers will be explored as strategic thinkers whose creative approaches can be adapted to diverse disciplines. An informance presentation, developed by the presenter for multi-national corporations, will be discussed.
Introduced during the inception of the graduate certificate in expressive arts, the Circles of Healing series presents initiative for study, experiential work, and practice in music, visual arts, dance, movement, and drama.
For participants interested in the Circles of Healing: Great Minds Speak Through Music one-credit undergraduate course (includes concert and lecture) the cost is $320; if taken at the graduate level, the cost is $440.
